Folklore Negru de Dragasani

Negru de Drăgășani, or Black of Dragasani, is a recent red grape variety obtained after the crossing of two ancient grapes: the forgotten Negru Vârtos or Stout Black and the Georgian grape Saperavi. It is planted in a limited area in Drăgășani, south of Romania. This wine has high content in anthocyanins and has the potential to give high-quality dry wines, fresh and fruity, suitable for aging in oak barrels that increases the complexity. TASTING: Intense red, with purple reflections. A bouquet of intense aromas of berries, cinnamon, and plums, along with a velvety and persistent taste. It will be well suited with meat stew, beef fillets, with aromatic herbs.
