Delheim Edelspatz Botrytis Riesling

Naturally occurring botrytis is rare in the Cape but the old-vine certified ‘Office’ vineyard, planted in 1984, produces a fresh, marmaladey nectar with aromas of dried apricot, quince and cumquat. There is wonderful fruit purity, focused by botrytis, elegant and intense, with thrilling balance and length, Edelspatz is ready to drink now, but will benefit from further bottle maturation for up to ten years after vintage, provided it is stored under ideal conditions.
